california lurkin’ with soletech part 3-suede

excuse the worst pun yet, and the unnecessary delay considering these pictures were taken a week ago; the internet is not always my friend. the full article is in the process of being written and pieced together and will be up on crossfire this week, along with all the (much better) photos that wern’t posted up on here.

only at a skateboard event would girls be paid to essentially do nothing more than hang out with us. we walked into the (incredible) etnies training facility before you noticed they were even there sporting their toddler-sized soletech tees, jeroen had all three of their numbers. the dude is a machine.

sean malto’s style is smoother than the etnies TF floor, which for the record is pretty damn smooth.

pierre getting us hyped on the soletech lab tour. it was like dexter’s-laboratory-meets-the-berrics in there.

motion capture technology records dudes shredding an 8 stair rail and then turns it into SCIENCE. mental stuff.

published! and to think people say skateboarders aren’t productive.

did you know that when throwing yourself down the london bridge ten, more often than not you exert around 18-times body weight straight onto your heel or tippy toes? i’ll stick to skating curbs ta.

thankfully for all those stair-eating maniacs, soletech have your tootsies’ well-being covered with their huge range of ever-improving footbeds and cushioning systems. and just look at them! friends for your feet!

you wouldn’t get this from any other guy shoe company.

a flexibility testing machine. this is so there is no longer a need to wear your shoes in for over 9000 weeks before being able to move in them.

the infamous kickflip machine. and how the super durable e-suede was tried, tested and created. each shoe gets 2500 spins on this beast.

scotty telling us a little about innovations in tongue mesh which basically stops your foot turning into a portable barbeque (a smelly one at that).

and holding one of those things which “doesn’t resemble a foot at all.”

the real secret behind soletech’s revolutionary contributions to the skate shoe industry. IT’S ALL MAGIC.
